How it Works

Seakeeper Ride controllers are attached to the transom of your boat, just below the waterline. The system understands how the boat is behaving in all three axes using custom, proprietary inertial sensing hardware and software and commands deployment of the rotary blades to counteract pitch, roll, and yaw. When the blades are deployed, they generate lift at the transom, instantly controlling the vessel's motion.

Why it’s better

Wave motions can occur consistently or infrequently, be large or small, and come from any direction. These movements frequently happen in milliseconds. Seakeeper Ride's proprietary, rapid-deployment rotary blades make 100 adjustments every second to combat wave motions, thanks to expert control software and hardware.

Nothing compares to Seakeeper Ride, the first-of-its-kind Vessel Attitude Control System that can eliminate up to 70% pitch and roll while underway.

Performance

Look Inside

The Seakeeper Ride is a feature provided by Seakeeper to improve the stabilization experience on boats equipped with gyroscopic stabilizers. The Seakeeper Ride optimizes the performance of the gyroscopes based on real-time sea conditions, boat speed, and other factors using advanced control algorithms and sensors. Here's a quick rundown of how the Seakeeper Ride works

Sensors and Control System:

  • The Seakeeper system includes a number of sensors that constantly monitor the boat's motion, such as roll, pitch, and yaw.
  • These sensors send data to the Seakeeper's control system, which analyzes it to determine the best way to counteract the boat's movement.

Real-Time Adjustments:

  • Based on the detected motion of the boat, the control system makes real-time adjustments to the gyroscopes' speed and torque.
  • To optimize stability, it considers factors such as wave conditions, boat speed, and vessel orientation.

Adaptive Control Algorithms:

  • Seakeeper predicts and responds to changes in sea conditions using sophisticated adaptive control algorithms.
  • To ensure effective stabilization, the system is designed to adapt quickly to changing wave patterns and boat movements.

Enhanced Comfort and Stability:

  • The Seakeeper Ride feature aims to make the on-board experience even more comfortable and stable.
  • It maintains stability and reduces the impact of waves and boat motion by continuously adjusting the gyroscopic forces in response to changing conditions.

Automated Operation:

  • The Seakeeper Ride operates automatically, requiring little input from the captain or crew of the boat.
  • Once activated, the system continually works to stabilize the vessel, allowing occupants to enjoy a smoother and more comfortable ride.
